National Training on Access to the Rights of Foreigners Held in Čačak
On January 29–30, 2025, the national training “Access to the Rights of Foreigners” was held in Čačak. The event was organized by Group 484 within the framework of the regional project “Inclusion of Foreigners in the Western Balkans – Access to Social and Economic Rights” (FOSTER), supported by the European Union.
During the two-day training, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of international and domestic standards for the protection of foreigners’ rights, to become acquainted with amendments to the legislative framework, and to exchange experiences and good practices through practical workshops.
Special focus was placed on cooperation with independent institutions – the Ombudsman and the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality – as well as on mechanisms for safeguarding the rights of vulnerable groups. The training brought together representatives of civil society organizations from Belgrade, Kraljevo, Novi Sad, Niš, Vranje, and Novi Pazar, along with competent institutions and human rights experts, thereby further enhancing dialogue and cooperation in this field.
