Distribution of Humanitarian Aid
On June 23, 2016, with the support of CCFD-Terre Solidaire, Group 484 began clothing distribution to migrants and refugees in the area of Kelebija and Horgos I border crossings. Distribution is carried out by Group 484 local team twice a week.
According to information provided by Group 484 associates, the border crossing zone of Kelebija daily contains between 250 and 300 migrants and refugees, while in the border crossing zone of Horgos I the number is slightly smaller, between 150 and 200. Particularly worrying is the fact that 1/3 of the total number of migrants and refugees are children.
Despite the great efforts of relevant public authorities, international organisations and civil society organisations there is still a strong need for action in order to ensure the most urgent needs for migrants present in this area.
