Certificates for Trainees of the Online Training “Asylum and Migration”
On Tuesday, June 14, in the premises of “Aero Club”, certificates were ceremonially handed to trainees who had successfully mastered the online training “Asylum and Migration”. The training was realised in the period from March to May 2016. With this training, we wanted to contribute to the strengthening of capacities of institutional service providers dealing with refugees and migrants.
The training participants were trustees for refugees and migration, employees in centres for social work, health centres, misdemeanour courts, the Red Cross, as well as employees of the administration from 46 municipalities and towns with the activities directly or indirectly related to the field of asylum and migration.
During the 10 weeks the trainees passed through the program under the mentorship of the Centre for Migration of Group 484. The objective was for the trainees to improve their practical skills in solving concrete situations and challenges on the field, in the context of the existing refugee and migration situation, and all this by relying on international and regional human rights standards, as well as the existing national legal framework.
The training was successfully completed by 97 representatives of the mentioned institutions.
The event and training are part of the “eObuka – Asylum and Migration”, conducted by Group 484 in cooperation with the Training Centre of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
