Round table "Interculturalism and Youth" Print E-mail
Nongovernmental organisations Group 484 and Centre for Modern Skills are organising a round table Interculturalism and Youth within the national presentation of the project "Leave a Trace, Change the Place – advocacy initiative for minorities". Round table will be held on September 23, 2009, in University of Arts Rectorate ((Kosančićev venac 29, Belgrade) between 11am and 2:30pm.

At the opening of the event speakers will be: Miodrag Shrestha (Executive director of Group 484), Thomas Gnocchi, (Head of the Political Section of the Delegation of the European Commission to Serbia), Konstantin Gerokostopoulos (special representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in Serbia / Belgrade Office Head),  Marko Karadžić (State Secretary, Ministry of Human and Minority Rights), PhD, Mr. Miodrag Jovanović (Professor at Faculty of Law of the Belgrade University) and PhD, Ms Milena Dragićević – Šešić (Professor at Faculty of Drama Arts, Head of UNESCO Chair in Interculturalism, Art Management and Mediation).


On that occasion, young activists from ten towns in Serbia will present results of their work on the project to the wider public, through exhibition and street action. They will also, at the round table, present their campaign of public advocacy in local communities and recommendations for advancing the position of minority rights in Serbia. Also, their view of the topic interculturalism and minority rights will give young politicians.
